If you love tennis you should stop here. Interesting artifacts and history. A bit overpriced for the size of the museum but its fun to see what they have.

I have been watching tennis since the 80s and i thoroughly enjoyed the museum. Loved the history and loved seeing memorabilia from my favorite players. The price was reasonable and it took about 90 mins to go through the inside and another 15- 30 mins outside.

Induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame is the ultimate honor in tennis. It represents the sum of one's achievements and contributions as being among the most important and transformative in the tennis industry. Since 1954, this honor has been presented to just 262 individuals from 27 nations.

The grass courts at the Hall of Fame Tennis Club are open to the public! Please call the Pro Shop at 401-849-4777 to reserve court time. For non-members, cancellations must occur 48 hours in advance to avoid the full charge for the court time.

An Interactive Experience

Tennis fans can test their knowledge of the sport on a five-foot touch table at which they can "serve" tennis trivia questions back and forth to each other in a fun game. The "Call the Match" exhibit offers visitors the chance to record themselves taking on the role of broadcast luminaries.

The best place to sit is behind the court, rather than to the side. You can see both players, and you don't get caught up in going back and forth with the ball. You see the lateral movement and the way the points develop.

The ITTF Hall of Fame includes both table tennis players and officers. To qualify for the ITTF Hall of Fame, an athlete must have won a minimum of five gold medals in Table Tennis World Championships, Olympic Games, and Paralympic Games.

Tennis career

Sears learned to play tennis in 1879. Sears played his first tournament and won his first title at the Beacon Park Open held at Beacon Park in Boston in October 1880. He was undefeated in the U.S. Championships, he won the first of his seven consecutive titles in 1881 while still a student at Harvard.

The Intercollegiate Tennis Association annually selects men's and women's D-1 players with the following criteria SINGLES (denoted by 'S') 1.) Top 16 seed in NCAA Singles Championships, or 2.) Reach round of 16 in NCAA Singles Championships, or 3.) Finish in the Top 20 of the final ITA Rankings.
