For those who claim that Nikola Jokic is the best basketball player in the world, the events of Monday night will only have convinced them further.
The Serbian scored 28 points as the Denver Nuggets clinched their first ever NBA title, beating the Miami Heat 4-1 in their NBA Finals series.
Jokic was the driving force behind the title and was named Finals MVP. Considering he has also won two regular season MVPs, he is quickly becoming one of the most decorated NBA players of all time.
Nikola Jokic's slow rise to the top
He is not the sort of name that has been destined for the top from a young age, though.
The Serbian actually recently revealed that he nearly quit basketball as a young teenager to try and focus on horse racing instead, but, thankfully for the Nuggets and the sport in general, he did not.
He was widely overlooked during the draft cycle, but he is now a 5x NBA All-Star, a 2x MVP and an NBA champion.

In 2014, there were concerns over his motor and his body type and many teams turned a blind eye to his incredible technical abilities, as they were unsure he could deal with the physical side of the sport.
There was also less respect for the European game back in 2014, which led to Jokic being drafted 41st overall.
Famously, a Taco Bell commercial was even playing at the moment his pick was announced.
But, everyone at Denver was instantly impressed once the player showed up for training camp.
"I think back to the training camp that first fall when Nikola arrived in Denver," Josh Kroenke said of the player.
"I remember Mike Miller was a part of our group at that time and he texted me after the first practice, and it was along the lines of 'I'm not really sure what's going to happen, but this guy is really, really good'.
"Then you really started to see Nikola's confidence start to grow."
