What do you get with WIC in NY? ›

WIC helps low-income women and their children buy food. You'll get an eWIC card for buying food. You'll also get access to services like nutrition counseling, breastfeeding support, health education, and referrals to other programs.

WIC Facts:

Each month, more than 200,000 moms, babies and children less than 5 years of age receive nutritious foods from the Michigan WIC Program. WIC foods are worth between $30-$112 or more per participant each month. One out of every two babies born in Michigan receive WIC benefits.

WIC EBT card is only authorized for WIC Stores in New York State. The following stores that are authorized to accept WIC EBT card: Walmart.

Moms who are breastfeeding receive WIC benefits for one year after your baby is born. Moms who aren't breastfeeding receive WIC benefits for six months after your baby is born. Families receive WIC benefits until your child turns five.
